I am working on a new book of poems, reminiscences, and vignettes called Rice Bowls.
I am funded by the City of Seattle's Office of
Arts & Culture.
This is more than just about me. It is about a category of people who are what is known as
"generation one-and-a half," that is to say, born outside of the US, arriving in childhood and growing into adults in the US.
It is a sociological, psychological, literary and philosophical study of identity, split-loyalty (sorry, President Trump), and reservation about believing everything "Amurikan."
